The scientific method in practice
How a curious question becomes reliable knowledge.
Observe something odd. Ask a precise question. Propose a hypothesis that could be proven wrong — that last part is essential.
Design an experiment that changes one variable and controls the rest. Record the data honestly, including the results you dislike.
Then let someone else try to break it. Knowledge that survives repeated attacks is what we call science.
